About the Founder
Thilakamalar Chandrapalan has been working in the Early Years Education field for over 30 years in the UK and most of her practices were for Camden and Kensington & Chelsea councils. She has covered various roles, including Managing Children’s Care provisions, NVQ assessor, Internal Verifier, Early Years Curriculum leader and Early Years/Child Care tutor. Thilakamalar is also a training provider and was approved by Edexcel Awarding Body (On Track Academy UK).
As the courses were work based training, Thilakamalar had opportunities to visit a variety of Education provisions in the UK such as Nurseries, Montessori schools and Primary schools for assessing her learners and meeting employers regarding the learners’ work placements. This has helped her to gain vast knowledge of different working practices from various successful organisations in the Early Years settings.
Both Thilakamalar’s personal and professional experiences in life being with children and young people have a great deal to offer a provision for children’s Education.
Thilakamalar chose Montessori school provision because Maria Montessori’s philosophy and methods of directing children and Sri Sathiya Sai Education in Human Values Programme is meeting her expectations. This programme links to the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The Montessori Method and her personal and professional experience relies on the natural curiosity and children's love of learning. It instils motivation for continuous learning, which will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
