Our teachers focus on building every child’s self esteem, confidence through positive feedback and appreciation, nurturing their natural strengths. A child see’s the world around them with wonder. We believe in encouraging their natural curiosity. On Track Montessori is dedicated to creating a loving, nurturing enviroment that provides children freedom, within a structure, to develop independence and initiative, become life long learners and have a genuine love of learning. Our Vision is to make a difference in childrens lives; When every child in the world is helped to be able to bring his/her full potential out. Giving children opportunites to learn and understand that every child is special and have distinctive qualites; learn to see good in all, appreciate, admire and respect others and themselves. Within the school we encourage both children and teachers to embrace our values and this helps to build the culture of the school which is the backbone of our success. The interaction of the special qualities of the school environment and the teachers assist in the child’s natural development of his or her personality. As well as providing optimum opportunity for cognitive or intellectual development so the growth of a child's ability to think and reason, organise their minds, ideas and thoughts to make sense of the world they live in, it promotes healthy, physical, communication/language and social/emotional development.
We recognise that children's need a safe and supportive environment be allowed to take risks and learn. It is part of our routine to remind the children of our ground rule this includes “we do not disturb our friends while they are working”, “we take turns" and "we walk in the classroom."
On Track Montessori LTD 'Pre-School' begins with a deep respect for children as unique individuals, recognising their emotional and social development needs to be an essential part of their education. Emphasis is not on what is to be learnt, but on how. The child selects what to learn and is helped to find the most effective way of learning. The focus is on developing understanding; we approach, recognise and address different learning styles and follow each individual’s pace of learning.
Children learn through hands on experience, investigation and questioning. They are encouraged to be actively involved in their learning and independent discovery. A child in On Track Montessori LTD 'Pre-School' is not afraid of making mistakes. Children are encouraged to see them as natural steps in the learning process. The culture of self-correction leads to a healthy enjoyment of challenges and a sense of perseverance.
